Throughout the year, there are various activities that Krashna members can participate in. These activities are organized by our committees. They meet regularly to shape the activities of Krashna. Within a committee, you have the chance to develop yourself alongside your studies, for example in organization and teamwork. And of course, it’s a lot of fun! Below are the committees of our association:

ABC The ambition preservation committee ensures that an ambition plan is created every five years to outline the long-term goals of Krashna. Throughout each five-year period, the committee works to achieve these goals.

AcquiCie The acquisition committee assists the board’s acquisition officer in applying for funds, arranging advertisements for the program booklets, and finding new sponsors.

AXIE The activities committee! This committee organizes the parties after concerts and various other activities, such as movie nights, beer tastings, or any fun activity you can think of!

BierCie The beer committee organizes drinks after each rehearsal and runs the bar.

IncluCie This new committee was established to focus on inclusivity and diversity within Krashna. The IncluCie looks at how Krashna can be more accessible, both to Krashnese and the outside world, to make everyone feel at home at the association.

KaKoCie The chamber choir committee organizes the chamber choir project, which choir members can participate in. The KaKoCie selects the repertoire and conductor, organizes the rehearsals, and, ultimately, the concert. After the concert, the KaKoCie is finished, and a new KaKoCie can be formed for the next chamber choir project.

KaMuCie This is the chamber music committee. About six times a year, the KaMuCie organizes a chamber music evening. For these concerts, anyone can sign up with an ensemble, making it an open stage. In addition to these concerts, the KaMuCie also organizes a Christmas dinner and a masterclass day.

KRAK The recording committee ensures that Krashna’s concerts are recorded, and that these recordings can later be enjoyed by Krashna members in high quality.

KreshmanCie The KreshmanCie is a committee made up of first-year Krashna members who organize two or three activities per year for new members. Examples of activities organized last year include a game night and laser tag! This is a low-threshold committee that is great for getting to know other new members.

OweeCie Every summer, many new students come to study in Delft. The OweeCie ensures that as many students as possible get to know Krashna and learn what the association is about. The committee does this by being present at the information markets and organizing fun activities during the OWee. This committee is primarily active in the second semester and during the summer.

PubliCie The publicity committee works with the publicity officer to create all promotional materials for Krashna—think flyers, posters, stickers, T-shirts, and more. This committee also supports the publicity officer with social media. No experience in graphic design is required to join this committee.

RepCie The repertoire committee selects the pieces that Krashna will perform/sing during concerts.

ReVoCie The ReVoCie ensures that Krashna's instruments are maintained and keeps track of the rentals of Krashna's instruments to members or external parties. The committee also decides which instruments Krashna will purchase. The ReVoCie has an important role and is made up of people who are passionate about instruments.

SchnappCie The schnabbel committee handles requests for paid performances by small ensembles (string quartets, wind quintets, or a small choir). We are also looking for new members for the SchnappCie!

TourCie Every two years, a tour is organized in the summer by the TourCie. The entire choir and orchestra travel—often abroad—and perform several concerts. This year, we will also go on tour, traveling to Berlin and Krakow!

WebCie The website committee manages and maintains Krashna’s website.

WieCie The weekend committee organizes two rehearsal weekends per year. The external rehearsal weekend is at the beginning of the year and takes place in Someren, while the internal rehearsal weekend in the second half of the year takes place at X. The WieCie ensures that everyone has food, accommodations, and rehearsal space. The committee is mostly active in the weeks leading up to and during the rehearsal weekend.

ZeilCie The sailing committee organizes a sailing week/weekend for Krashna every two years (but sometimes more often if there is enough interest!).
