Society DMSG Krashna Musika
Krashna Musika is a student music society in Delft. Students experience the joy of making (classical) music together in the orchestra, choir, or in chambermusic ensembles.
The orchestra and choir have two or three projects a year, with two concerts per project. These concerts are given in and around Delft. There are also 5 or 6 chambermusic concerts a year, where the ensembles play. Also Krashna goes on a tour abroad, once per two years.
The main activities consist of rehearsals and the drinks afterwards. The orchestra rehearses on Monday, and choir rehearses on Wednesday. Just before the concerts there is a rehearselweekend, in which the last mistakes are corrected.
The chambermusic ensembles rehearse on their own. The is sometimes a chamerorchestra- or chamberchoirproject organized, to give our members the change to learn to play in a small group.
Apart from these musical activities, Krashna organizes other activities like parties, sailing week, concert trips, and other fun stuff. Through these activities you get to know your fellow musicians. Every activity is organized by the Krashna-board and the members. If you are a member you can get very involved in the organisation of the society, therefor you can get a lot of experience in organizing projects and activities.
